A big thank you is in order for Miss Rabia and Miss Sarah for accompanying our students on their trip to Turkey.
It wouldn't have been the same without them.

Links' trip to Turkey was certainly unforgettable.
Sports Championship
by Mishaal Khan, class 11.
Congratulations, Blue Sharks for your brilliantly executed win at the Sports Day Championship 2013. Well done to all four teams that participated in the event and tried their best to work as a team while facing challenges that weren't so easy. After all, this Sports Day was unlike any other that Links has hosted in the past.
A round of applause is in order to appreciate Mr. Richard, Miss Yasmeen, Coach Jamshed and Coach Dominic for their tireless efforts to make this event possible in such short time.
Everyone enjoyed immensely and displayed a true spirit of sportsmanship, which is certainly more important than winning or losing.
The Blue Sharks, Red Dragons, Yellow Vipers and Green Gators were all divided into four sub teams per house, varying from members of ages 8 to 16. Bursting with excitement and enthusiasm, students scurried around PAD Park on 19th December'13, rushing to complete their designated tasks in the allocated time period (which was of about 20 minutes per challenge)
A few of the events are as follows:
1. Tug of war.
2. 100 m Hurdles Relay.
3. 100 m Relay.
4. The Human Knot.
5. Alphabet Soup.
6. Moonball.
7. Alien Invasion.
8. Crocodile River.

Activity by grade 1--
It was a pleasure to see the students of class dressed in various professional costumes on Friday the 1st of November 2013. There excitement showed in their smiles when they entered the school building.
There were a number of little doctors carrying their kits, army, police and air force officers proudly wearing their caps. One student dressed as a scientist spoke well about her profession and its importance. An artist with a pallet and a paint brush wished she could paint the whole earth. Couple of little builders and firefighters dressed in their colourful attire brightened the atmosphere. They all spoke about their profession and their future plans. It was amusing to see a few of them dressed like a teacher and sharing their dreams about becoming a teacher when they grow up. The highlight of the day was a treat of biscuits given to them by a teacher who is a baker too. She very generously showed them her baking tools along with a recipe to make cookies.
Students not only enjoyed the day but also gained a lot of information about different professions.

Halloween Carnival By Ayra Khan, 5L.
The Halloween carnival was held on 1st of November/2013.That day we all celebrated Halloween in the lower primary school (LPS). We all came dressed up like vampires, Draculas, witches, cats, etc. There were stalls, music and food.We were given an hour to stay at our stalls and deal with the customers and we taught them how to play that game and if they would do the game in 1 minute then they would get a gift from each stall. all of the stalls were full of fun and excitement. We all had a great time playing on the stalls and they were amazing. everybody had lots of fun playing, eating and listening to music.
